The Lutheran Home is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Level 1 Medication Aide who is also a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) to join our healthcare community. In this vital night shift role, you will work an 8-hour shift primarily in our assisted living area, passing medications and providing comfort, support, and quality care to our residents. As part of our dynamic healthcare team, you’ll help us uphold our core values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship-bringing these principles to life through your daily caregiving. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Administer prescribed medications to residents and maintain medical records.
Take vital signs or observe patient to detect response to specified types of medications.
Respond to emergency situations that arise and take appropriate action.
Answer call lights and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) care as needed.
Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner, following facility policies and procedures.
Assist with serving meals and cleaning up the room after meal service.
Demonstrates appropriate knowledge for safe use of medical equipment such as canes, walkers, and oxygen.
Helps keep residents’ rooms clean and supplied.
Ambulate residents who require minimal assistance.
Immediately report any abuse, neglect, and/or changes in residents’ conditions or incidents to the nurse.
Communicates residents' requests or concerns in a timely manner.
Promote a positive team culture, fostering respect and open communication.
Participate in ongoing staff education and training.

The right candidate for this full-time position will be open to flexible scheduling, working an 8-hour night shift from 10:45 pm to 7:15 am, 10 out 14 calendar days, with rotating weekends. As a full-time member, you’ll enjoy our many benefits including:

Requirements:

Current Missouri Level 1 Med Aide certification with the Department of Health and Senior Services
Current Missouri CNA certification
Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain CPR certification within 30 days of employment
