The Lutheran Home is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to work on a PRN basis with weekend availability. In this role, you are important part of our team as you assist with the implementation of established treatment plans by the physical therapist designed to meet the need of our residents within our health center. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Assist in the implementation of treatment plans and carry out routine functions.
Document the progress of treatment and modify specific treatments in accordance with the patient’s status and within the scope of the treatment plan established by the physical therapist.
Provide skilled assistance and instruction on ordered therapeutic components designed to meet established goals.
Administer treatment involving application of physical agents, using equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet or infrared lamps, or ultrasound machines.
Appropriately test or measure joint range-of-motion, manual muscle strength, vital signs, or other objective tests to determine effects of treatments.
Transport patients to and from treatment areas, lifting and transferring them according to positioning requirements.
Assist with discharge planning and recommendations to facilitate safe transition plans when appropriate.

License/Certification required:

Licensed to work as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Missouri
Willing to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays
Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
