Position Summary:
The Director of Human Resources serves as a strategic partner to leadership and a champion of our culture, supporting team members across Independent Living, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of Human Resources, including talent strategy, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits, and organizational development.
This leader helps cultivate an environment where team members recognize they are not simply working in a facility, but in the homes of those we serve – where every interaction contributes to residents feeling valued, seen and cared for.
A key priority for this role is the development of leaders at all levels – equipping supervisors and managers with the tools, confidence, and accountability to lead with excellence, dignity and grace.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Culture

  • Foster a mission-driven culture rooted in service, excellence, dignity, grace, fulfillment and stewardship
  • Promote an environment where team members understand the privilege of working in residents’ homes and the impact of their daily interactions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on people strategy and organizational effectiveness
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen engagement, retention and team member experience
Leadership Development
  • Design & implement leadership development programs for supervisors, managers, and emerging leaders
  • Coach leaders on performance management, communication, accountability and team development
  • Develop leaders who model and reinforce the understanding that our work takes place in the homes of those we serve
  • Identify talent pipelines and succession planning opportunity across the organization
Human Resources Operations
  • Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, payroll and compliance
  • Ensure consistent and fair application of policies and practices
  • Partner with leadership to address complex employee relations matters with professionalism and care
HR Systems & Analytics
  • Serve as primary HRIS leader utilizing ADP Workforce Now and ADP Workforce Manager
  • Leverage data and reporting to support decision-making, workforce planning and compliance
  • Continuously improve HR processes and system utilization to enhance efficiency and user experience
Compensation & Benefits
  • Lead compensation strategy aligned with market data and organizational philosophy
  • Oversee benefits administration and employee education to support informed decision-making
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintain audit readiness and support regulatory requirements within a senior living environment

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience (healthcare or senior living preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with ADP Workforce Now and/or ADP Workforce Manager, preferred
  • Strong background in leadership development, coaching and organizational growth
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • SCHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred
