Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - PRN
The Lutheran Home, a mission-driven healthcare community, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team on a PRN basis, assisting occupational therapists in delivering compassionate, individualized care. In this role, you’ll assist with implementing treatment plans and documenting residents’ progress as they work toward greater independence and well-being. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Providing skilled assistance and instruction on ordered therapeutic components designed to meet established goals
- Testing and measuring joint range-of-motion, manual muscle strength, vital signs, and other objective data to assess treatment effectiveness
- Transporting patients to and from treatment areas, including lifting and transferring according to positioning requirements
- Participating in care plan meetings with other members of the healthcare team as appropriate
- Conferring with occupational therapist to evaluate resident information and to plan, modify, or coordinating treatment
Education Requirements:
- Successful completion of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Education Program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education or equivalent
- Current Missouri State License as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
