Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

The Lutheran Home is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our day shift team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents by assisting with their activities of daily living. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assists with daily personal care functions.
- Assists with the feeding of residents.
- Weigh residents using upright, chair and mechanical lift scale.
- Assists in turning and positioning of residents.
- Transfer residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention as indicated on the care plan.
- Demonstrates appropriate knowledge for safe use of medical equipment (cane, walkers, mechanical lifts, side rails, brace, splint, oxygen).
- Helps keep residents’ rooms clean and supplied.
- Make/change beds (unoccupied and occupied).
- Ambulate residents who require minimal assistance.
- Perform skin checks and notify the nurse of any abnormalities in skin integrity.
- Answer residents’ calls and take appropriate action.
- Immediately report any abuse, neglect, and/or changes in resident’s conditions or incidents to the nurse.
- Communicates residents' requests or concerns in a timely manner.

- Current Missouri CNA License
