Dining Services Server

Join our team as a Full-Time Dining Services Server at The Lutheran Home, providing support to our healthcare community kitchen. You’ll deliver breakfast and lunch service to residents, maintain a clean and welcoming dining and prep area, and provide personalized service to residents with unique needs, all while working in a role guided by our values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Serve food attractively while ensuring proper temperatures and sanitation standards, recording all food temps
- Safely operate and maintain food service equipment
- Perform daily cleaning and follow sanitary guidelines
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies
- Support kitchen operations by delivering items, running supplies, and filling in for other roles as needed
- Interact warmly with residents and families to meet dietary needs and preferences
- Properly rotate, label, and date food products.
- Follow infection control, safety, and disaster policies.
- Foster teamwork between departments for efficient, coordinated food delivery and service
In this full-time position, you’ll work primarily from 5:00am – 1:30pm, Monday through Friday, taking part in our many benefits including:

Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous dietary, dining, or hospitality experience preferred
- ServSafe certified preferred
- Reliable, detail-orientated, and adaptable
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working in a healthcare environment
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
