Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare quality food products in large quantities for regular and modified diets according to the menu and spreadsheets
- Prepare, serve, and store foods at proper temperatures following sanitation and safety guidelines
- Serve foods in proper portions and in an attractive manner
- Promote a positive team culture within the dining services department
- Take care of food service equipment, reports maintenance issues, and operate equipment appropriately
- Follow sanitary guidelines and performs cleaning, both assigned and unassigned
- Assist with receiving and storage of products
- Ensure food products are properly rotated, labeled and dated
- Performs tasks to meet residents’ dietary needs and food preferences
- Act responsibly to avoid food waste
In this full-time position, your typical schedule will be the daytime early shift, 5:00 am – 1:30 pm, with occasional later shifts (10:30 am – 7:00 pm) as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Previous institutional cooking experience preferred, with an emphasis on large quantities
- Restaurant or catering experience is also welcome
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Willingness to learn and follow established recipes and kitchen procedures
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
- Dependable, organized, and flexible
