Are you looking for a CNA position where you can pick up a few extra hours in the evening? The Lutheran Home has an opening for a Part-Time Certified Nurse Aide for this mostly evening hours position to assist with the busy evening activities of daily living and help to serve and assist our residents in the health center.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Answer residents’ calls and take appropriate action.
Assists with the feeding of residents.
Ambulate residents who require minimal assistance.
Assists with daily personal care functions.
Assists in turning and positioning of residents.
Transfer residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention as indicated on the care plan.
Demonstrates appropriate knowledge for safe use of medical equipment (cane, walkers, mechanical lifts, side rails, brace, splint, oxygen).
Make/change beds (unoccupied and occupied).
Helps keep residents’ rooms clean and supplied.
Perform skin checks and notify the nurse of any abnormalities in skin integrity.
Weigh residents using upright, chair and mechanical lift scale.
Communicates residents' requests or concerns in a timely manner.
Immediately report any abuse, neglect, and/or changes in resident’s conditions or incidents to the nurse.

In this part-time position you will enjoy working mostly evening hours of 4:00pm – 8:00pm and having the flexibility with working 3-5 days a week.

Requirements:

Minimum age of 18
Current Missouri CNA License
