The Lutheran Home is seeking a licensed Beautician to join our contract team and provide professional salon services to the residents of our healthcare community. This position offers a typical weekday schedule – 1-2 days per week from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm – with no weekends or holidays required. All supplies and equipment are provided, and you’ll have the opportunity to support the dignity and well-being of our residents while still maintaining your existing clients in the afternoons. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Styles hair consistent with resident's request and preference.
- Has knowledge of chemicals and processes used in the service.
- Identifies and responds in a timely and courteous manner to the needs of the residents receiving beauty services.
- Schedule residents for and provide hair care services.
- Maintain beauty shop equipment in good working order.
- Maintain sanitary conditions consistent with state and local regulations applicable to beautician/barber services and long-term nursing care.
License/Certification:
- Minimum age of 18
- Licensed by the State of Missouri in cosmetology
- Prior experience as a beautician or barber
- Prior experience in a healthcare facility preferred
