The Lutheran Home is seeking a compassionate Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) with CNA certification to join our healthcare community for a part-time weekend position (Saturday and Sunday). Working primarily in assisted living, you’ll provide support and quality care to residents while administering medications as needed, all guided by our values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Administer medications and maintain records while working in the L1MA role
  • Take vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and resident needs
  • Help with meal service, room upkeep, and safe use of medical equipment
  • Communicate resident requests or concerns in a timely manner
  • Immediately report any abuse, neglect, and/or changes in resident’s conditions or incidents to the nurse or supervisor
  • Promote a positive team culture and participate in ongoing staff education and training

In this part-time role, you will work 8-hour day or evening shifts on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), with schedules that may include every weekend or every other weekend depending on availability and staffing needs.  

Available shifts include:
  • Day shift: 8-hour shift (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Evening shift: 8-hour shift (Saturday & Sunday)

Requirements:
  • Current Missouri Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) certification
  • Current Missouri CNA certification
  • Insulin Administration Certification
  • Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain CPR certification within 30 days of employment
