The Lutheran Home is looking for a Part-time Van Driver to join our team. We are looking for a candidate with strong driving skills, a clean driving record and a valid Class E driver’s license. In this service role, you will transport residents for our healthcare community in a safe and timely manner. We are committed to service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship in all that we do, and we are looking for someone who shares these values.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Safely transport residents to and from designated locations in a timely manner.
Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed.
Engage in courteous and respectful conversation with residents and their families.
Keep track of fuel usage.
Conduct daily safety inspection of vehicle, including checking the interior, exterior, brakes, headlamps, and taillights; report any mechanical malfunctions or other issues as required.
Participate in the routine cleaning and servicing of the vehicle, including fueling; check oil and fluid levels; clean the windshield and headlamps; and maintain the vehicle in clean and safe operating condition.

In this position, you will enjoy part-time day hours, working 3 days a week from 7:45am – 4:15pm.

Skills and Qualifications:

High school graduate or GED certificate, preferred
Strong driving skills and a clean record
Class E Driver License
CPR certified, or ability to become CPR certified within 60 days of employment
