Environmental Services (EVS) Manager
The Lutheran Home is looking for a motivated and experienced Environmental Services (EVS) Manager to lead our dedicated team in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both our residents and staff. In this essential role, you will oversee daily operations, train and supervise team members, and work collaboratively to ensure exceptional cleanliness throughout our healthcare community while adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Your leadership will foster a strong, team-driven approach that directly contributes to the well-being of our community and those we serve. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of environmental services, including cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining common areas, resident rooms, and care environments.
- Lead, train and supervise EVS staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency.
- Ensure that infection protocols and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, monitor performance, and make adjustments as needed to maintain optimal cleanliness.
- Manage inventory and supplies for the department, ensuring that cleaning materials and equipment are adequately stocked and properly maintained.
- Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary.
- Notify admitting personnel or social services of rooms ready for occupancy.
- Coordinate resident room moves inside the facility.
- Monitor and review timecards, requests off and approve hours for payroll.

- Experience in environmental services, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
- Effective communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
