Housekeeping Supervisor
The Lutheran Home is seeking a hands-on, dependable, and motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. In this key role, you’ll oversee daily cleaning operations, provide support and training to team members, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and infection control are met throughout our healthcare community. We’re looking for someone with strong housekeeping or environmental services experience and a natural ability to lead and motivate a team-no formal degree required. Your leadership will directly impact the comfort and dignity of those we serve, helping us uphold our core values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of environmental services, including cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining common areas, resident rooms, and care environments.
- Lead, train and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency.
- Ensure that infection protocols and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, monitor performance, and make adjustments as needed to maintain optimal cleanliness.
- Manage inventory and supplies for the department, ensuring that cleaning materials and equipment are adequately stocked and properly maintained.
- Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary.
- Notify admitting personnel or social services of rooms ready for occupancy.
- Coordinate resident room moves inside the facility.
- Monitor and review timecards, requests off and approve hours for payroll.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in housekeeping or environmental services, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining cleanliness, safety, and infection control standards.
- Effective communication skills.
- Comfortable using computers for tasks such as scheduling, timecard approvals, and basic administrative duties
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
