Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Providing skilled professional nursing care as prescribed by the physician, in compliance with State Board of Nursing regulations and Lutheran Home policies.
Obtaining and relaying necessary information from the off-going nurse for resident care follow-up.
Verify narcotic/controlled medication counts.
Gives daily report/instruction and assigning tasks for nursing assistants.
Monitor dining rooms during mealtimes to ensure proper diet and assistance for residents.
Conducting comprehensive assessments of residents and documenting care, medications, and treatments.
Performing and documenting admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
Observing residents for changes in condition and reporting to physicians, families and nursing staff.
Obtaining and updating physician orders as necessary.
Providing education to residents and families on medical issues, including disease process, medications, and safety.
Responding quickly to emergency situations, initiating life-saving measures when needed.
Addressing resident, family, or physician concerns, and reporting issues to the Unit Manager or Shift Supervisor.

In this full-time role, you’ll follow a consistent two-week schedule, working 7 out of 14 days with a three-day weekend every other week. Available shifts include:

Day shift: 6:45 am to 7:15 pm
Night shift: 6:45 pm to 7:15 am

Education Requirements:

Current unrestricted LPN license in the State of Missouri (or eligibility for licensure)
CPR certification
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
